This year the Queensland State titles were held at the Sunshine Coast Club, notorious for hosting some of the biggest and best events in Australia. With 120 entries with a great buggy and truggy field, it was going to be one of the biggest events in Australia this year. With everyone on a brand new track, choice of tire was the big question mark. Going into practice I had two seven minute practices to get it right before going into qualifying. Once qualifying came around I had both my Kyosho Inferno MP9 TKI3 and STRR evo set up good and ready to go.
I had almost a clean sweep in buggy qualifying with winning 4 out of the 5 qualifiers. I had a decent truggy qualifying but had dramas in the last qualifier losing my chance for TQ but still giving me second on the grid. By finals time, I was super confident with my cars and as the top 10 cars were bumped straight into the a main without having to complete a semi-final.
In both finals I managed to get out front and finish off both classes with a comfortable margin and took home the win. Big thank you to Kyosho, Pro-Line (M4 Calibers for both cars worked awesome all weekend), O.S Speed, Ko Propo, Neo + Fuels, Venom, Podified Engines, Maugrafix and Steven Love for painting my bodies.
