Racers gathered at the historic track that has scene several legendary R/C racers attend in years past. The likes of Brian Kinwald, Pro-Line’s Billy Easton, Matt Frances, Scott Hughes, Mike Truhe, Travis Amezcua, Scott Brown, Dustin Evans and more. This year the the entry count was over 200 for the smooth indoor clay surface race. Qualifying would get started Friday afternoon and end Saturday Night, with Mains on Sunday. Modified Classes included 2wd Buggy, Stadium Truck, 4wd Buggy and 4×4 Short Course. Team Pro-Line/Associated Driver Rob Gillespie Jr made a statement in qualifying earning TQ in all 3 classes he entered. Mod Buggy, Truck and 4wd. The Hometown driver seemed to be very comfortable on the track with his Pro-Line Rubber all weekend long. Adrian Redding went on to earn the last TQ spot in the 4×4 Short Course field on Pro-Line Surburbs in MC Compound.

Pro-Line’s Rob Gillespie Jr would get off to a slow start in the triple A-mains. Rob would lose A1 to Losi teammates Joel Eaton and Corey Peterson. In A2 and A3 Rob went on to drive smooth with little mistakes to take the wins and the Championship for the Race.

Mod Truck
Rob Gillespie Jr would take the A1 win after some very close racing with Joel Eaton. A2 Rob would again go ahead and run a flawless race and complete the Championship chase in Truck.

Mod 4wd Buggy
A1 would be very intense and some of the best racing of the weekend between Rob and Local Privateer Racer Kobe Yonker running a Associated Chassis on Pro-Line Rubber and body. Rob’s run at winning all 3 classes got a bit of a wrinkle in it as Kobe would take the win in A1. Rob would respond with a win in A2, leaving it to a two car showdown in A3 to decide the winner. Kobe and Rob would quickly get away from the field and race each other strong for about 5 minutes. A bad crash by Rob with about a minute to go was enough to kill his chance and a triple crown for the weekend. Kobe Yonker looked great all weekend in 4wd and deserved the win. 3rd Place would go to Pro-Line Driver Eric Willardson.

Team Pro-Line/Associated Driver from Denver, Colorado would take take the win after a early battle with Local Jason Smith.
