Tumbleweed-Scott and Mac Win with Pro-Line!

Scott and Mac Win!

Welcome race fans & bloggers!

This is your roving race reporter, Mac Mitchell recapping the 18th Annual Tumbleweed Classic held at ARCOR Raceway in Albuquerque, NM.  This is my first time attending this event and it will definitely not be my last!  ARCOR has held major events such as the Tumbleweed Classic & the 1/10th Scale ROAR Modified Nationals in years past.  This track is known for its high-bite surface and exciting head to head racing, and this year’s event was no different!

Scott Spear and myself were representing Pro-Line at this event and we both had great showings.  First, in 13.5T  2wd Buggy & Pro-2 Short Course, Scott Spear dominated qualifying and the main event by TQ’ing & Winning both classes.  Great Job Scott!

In 4wd Modified, Mac qualified 2nd behind Scott who TQ’d another class.  At the start of the tone, Mac took the holeshot over Scott and never looked back.  Mac took the win and Scott had to retire due to a broken front driveshaft.  Quoting an infamous Tucson, AZ racer, “4WD is the Devil!”  Tires of choice were: In 2wd, Pro-Line’s Scrubs & Suburbs in MX compound along with the Bulldog body.  In Pro-2 SC, Suburbs were also the tire of choice in MX compound along with the Flo-Tek SC body.  In 4wd, again Scrubs & Suburbs in MX compound were used with great success along with the Bulldog body!  Pro-Line closed-cell inserts were the foam of choice along with genuine PL wheels & glue.

Great job Scott and Mac!
