Friends of Pro-Line

Got to meet a Moto celebrity last night

Last night a few of us from the Pro-Line office hit Thunder Alley for a little Short Course racing. After the first round of qualifying, we noticed that there was an unfamiliar name running at the top of the time sheets. We identified the very non assuming racer with a friendly grin and I introduced myself and found his name was Chris. After some small talk, I started to add up the details and quickly realized that this wasn’t just your average guy. This was Chris Blais, the factory KTM rider. The one who I had watched race and cheered on as the top American rider during his 3rd place finish at the 2007 Dakar Rally!

Chris had a serious back injury soon after the Dakar which has kept him off the bikes so far. After reviewing his website http://www.blaisracing.com it is clear that this world class competitor seems to have filled the void with many other challenges! As I found out last night, RC car racing looks to be one of them, and as you might guess, he’s a contender, taking wins in both the 2wd and 4wd modified classes!

So, if you are in the SoCal area, keep an eye out Chris and be sure to say hi if you get the chance……
