Pro-Line Driver Ryan Cavalieri wins 2011 ROAR 1:8 Buggy National Championship

This last weekend was the 2011 ROAR 1:8 Fuel Off-Road Nationals held at Thunder Alley R/C Raceway in Beaumont, CA. Pro-Line had many top guys in the upper mains all set to do battle in the even/odd mains Sunday.

In 1:8 Buggy, one stand out driver was PL driver Clint Wachter. He had a rough qualifying and started 54th in the 1:8 Even main. He charged hard, won 3 mains and bumped all the way into the final where he finished a respectable 9th. Way to go Clint!

PL Team Driver Ty Tessmann started 3rd but some bad luck had him working his way from 11th back to 3rd hunting down the leaders. After 59 laps his servo saver broke ending his day only half way into the 60 min main.

Right from the start all eyes were on the lead pack. Pro-Line Team Driver  Ryan Cavalieri started the final in the 1st position after finishing with a better overall time than Tebo in the semi’s. Ryan seemed to be on a mission from the get go, laping the field twice and leading an impressive 84 of 116 laps. Congratulations Ryan on becoming the 2011 ROAR 1:8 Buggy National Champion!

Ryan used the BullDog Body on his Associated RC8 buggy and the never before seen Blockade tires.
