Well I fell behind on my posts as the internet connections were rubbish at the track. I made it home Tuesday and took a few days to hang out with the Little ones and Wife. Here is a ending re-cap for all.
Heathrow Airport is almost 3 hours car journey from the track so it was rental car time, I have included a picture of my dialed Vauxhall which by the way can’t go over 100MPH. Not that I tried!!! We arived got all checked in and found my Dorm Room home for the next few days ( Picture attached as well) Its nice staying on site but you have limited access to anything else. Pro-Lines good friend Craig Drescher handled all of our tire shipment and provided storage at the track, he even took us out to curry one night in the town of Newport. Big thanks to Craig for all his hard work he really is a great guy to hang out with and has a awesome race van now.
Team Associateds own Brent Thielke brought home the win in th 35 and over class running M3 Holeshots. Brent’s car looked awesome all weekend and If it was not for bad luck would have done much better in the main program. Thanks to Brent for the support and getting me to and from the track from Heathrow airport. I would have got lost for sure.
Race went very and Pro-Line has a strong team going into the semis’s. Atushi Hara was back on PL rubber for a few qualifying rounds, for the semi and main event. Tessman and several others would have some bad luck in the semi’s and miss out on the main event which is a bummer they worked so hard all week but I guess that’s the way it goes in RC anything can happen at anytime. After the 45 minute main PL would have two drivers in the top 5 and Cavalieri would miss second by a very small margin.
After the mains it was another car ride back to Heathrow to get ready for the flight back Tuesday morning. It was my first time to Neo and I can say I’m looking forward to Neo12 it was a great time.
