Pro-Line racing for a great cause

Fact – 1 in every 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their life. Over 200,000 US women will be diagnosed this year. 40,000 will not survive.

So on October 9th, Pro-Line once again teamed with the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORRS) girls to competed in the 5th annual M.O.R.E. Powder Puff Race for a Cure. This is an off-road race were only women can compete with the challenge of going fast while raising as much money for Cedar Sinai Hospital as possible. The event was held in the Barstow desert where a grueling 27 mile course was marked through the open desert. My Wife, Melanie, and I have been involved with this event for the past 5 years and we are very excited to represent Pro-Line’s contribution to the 3 car LOORS girls team.

The #30 truck team again consisted of 6 women. They were very competitive early on only being slowed slightly by a flat tire. We were looking good for another top five finish. Unfortunately, it was on the last lap, 20 miles from the finish, that the transmission failed. This was far from disappointing as the three car team raised close to $8,000.00 through sponsorship and raffle tickets sold. In the end, the event contributed well over $100,000.00 to Cedar Sinai Hospital.

Again, Melanie and I want to thank the team at Pro-Line for their support and invite everyone to come out and cheer us on next year!
