As most are aware, the ROAR Electric Nationals was spec tire for the main classes other than Short Course. Truck was won by Mayfield, tire was JC. 2WD was won by Truhe, tire was Losi. 4WD was won by Cavalieri, tire was Pro-Line Hole-Shots
In Short Course, Tim Clark and Matt Wallace had 2 drivers to work with (Travis Amezcua & Brian Kinwald). Travis was racing a new TQ SC truck that he had never driven. We stumbled a little in early practice sorting the truck and tires out, but found MX Suburbs to be the hot setup during our last practice run on the track. Qualifying went well with Travis laying down some of the fastest SC laps. This is with competition like Maifield, Pavidis, Robbers and a couple other quick guys. Travis ended up qualifying a respectable 4th with a truck we were still sorting out.
Qualifying order:
Maifield
Robbers
Due
Amezcua
Pavidis
When it came main time Maifield took the first win with Travis second. In the second main, Travis took the win with Kinwald second. The third main went to Maifield with Travis second and Kinwald third.
After best 2 of 3 finish was:
Maifield
Amezcua
Kinwald
Robbers
Due
Pavidis
In all it was great to work with all of our drivers and gather useful information.
Next up is the Pro-Line Surf City Classic in Huntington Beach this weekend.
