Pro-Line Hyrax Tires did great in the dry conditions today. The new rear setup on the DB48 made it so I was able to race using Pro-Line FaultLine bead-lock Wheels, I also for the first time ran Pro-Line Single Stage Closed-Cell foams, nice combo they worked great.
It was a pricy day for me. During my first practice run of the day with the Tekno RC DB48 and a new TEKIN Pro4HD 1850kv motor, my RX8 G2 ESC caught fire. Thank goodness I had my Tekno EB48.4 I swapped electronic trays and was back in the game with the TEKIN T8 1900kv and RX8 G2.
Heat 1 with the Tekno DB48 I pulled a 4th position.
Heat 1 with the UCFAB PRT HD I was also having ESC issues and was not able to qualify.
The track was dry and lose, several changes made the track very fun. Few new ruts and jumps that were not in before.
Heat 2 with the Tekno went well I held a top 4 position most the race I noticed a slight drop in the front suspension and wouldn’t you know, yep broken shock shaft. Had more work cut out for me to get ready for the A Main for 2.2 Unlimited with the DB48.
Heat 2 with the UCFAB PRT HD I had worked out my ESC issues and needed to qualify.
I did the best I could the servo in this car has seen its day of use so I had some steering slop that made it tuff in the rock garden. I managed to get a 3rd position for the A Main.
A Main 2.2 Unlimited with the DB48 was a great race had some close battles fighting for 3rd most the race but right at the end I got that opportunity I needed to pass and take 2nd for the day.
A Main 2.2 Trophy with the UCFAB PRT HD. This race was a challenge to not brake. Seems the field were dropping like flys. By the end of the race there was only 2 cars that made the hole race so once I had 2nd on lock I just rode it out to the end.

The MKS Servo survived the fire and had so much speed and power I did not notice any lag with the extra 1/8 power weight added to the car from the larger motor and huge brick 4s battery.
