As October came around, Landen Lewis was in for a busy schedule.  Three weekends spread all throughout Florida against the State’s best drivers.  The overall results were amazing:

Pro E-Buggy: 2 TQ’s, 2 Wins and 1 2nd Place finish

Pro Nitro Buggy: 1 TQ, 1 2nd Place, and 1 3rd place.

So, in 9 entries, that is 8 Top 3 finishes.

The first weekend in October was in Tallahassee, FL for the 3rd Annual Big Bend Off-Road Shootout.  This event was a 2-Day race with over 150+ entries.  Landen would be able to take the TQ and win in Pro E-Buggy.  In Nitro, the event staff decided to have two, 22 1/2-minute A-Mains.  In A1, Landen was able to pull off a 2nd place finish but in A2, he had electrical issues with receiver pack for a DNF.  This would end up being Landen’s only non-podium during the 3-week stretch.

The next weekend, Landen was off to Perry, FL for the 2nd Round of the Florida Force Off-Road Series.  This is the premier 1:8 series in Florida with over 150 entries showing up for this round.  Again, Landen was able to take overall TQ and win in Pro E-Buggy.  In Nitro, Landen was able to take TQ and had a lap lead on the field for most the race but after losing his brakes, he slowed down and lost the lead and fell to 2nd place at the end.IMG_0988-1024x768

For the 3rd weekend in a row, Landen was off to another city but this time for the ROAR Region 4 Regionals.  This race was held in South Florida at Sundancers R/C in Port Saint Lucie.  The best racers in Florida were in attendance.  In Pro E-Buggy, Landen failed to take TQ for the 3rd weekend in a row but was 2nd overall and held on to a 2nd place finish for the event.  In the Pro Nitro class, Landen had some struggle in qualifying and ended up 9th in qualifying which resulting starting 1st in the B-Main on Sunday.  As Sunday rolled around, Landen cruised to an easy bump from the B-Main in the 30-minute race to race for the championship in the 45-minute A-Main.  After the 45-minute race came to an end, Landen and JConcepts owners, Jason Ruona were bumper to bumper on the last 2 laps for the 2nd place finish.  Pro-Line driver, Leon McIntosh would go on to win the event with Jason beating Landen to the line to take 2nd place and Landen finishing 3rd. Even though Landen walked away with no wins, he was the only driver to make podium in both Pro classes.

Landen would like to thank Pro-Line for helping him with all the tires needed for all the different tracks he encountered.
